The first station 10 was at 3301 Arapahoe St. and was built in 1896 along with a Police Station to serve the Curtis Park neighborhood. The changing demographics of Denver and Curtis Park required a new, larger station 10 which was built just 2 blocks away in 1928. This handsome, symmetrical building efficiently housed an engine company, a truck company and a District Fire Chief. The companies were very busy as the number of fires in different sections of their district increased significantly. This station closed in 1993, and became home to the Woman’s Bean Project. The newest Station 10 is located at 3200 Steele St.
