Confluence Park

Printer-friendly version

Stop for a coffee or to watch kayakers run the rapids along the South Platte River at Confluence Park where gold was first discovered in Denver. The area became an important crossroads for the many trails heading west. Today, REI, a large outdoor recreation store, overlooks the Park in a building that was once the power plant for the Denver Tramway Company.
